The continuing care concept at The Cedars of Chapel Hill offers Members a variety of activities, services and healthcare. The DuBose Health Center on The Cedars’ campus is Medicare-certified and has 48 beds offering assisted living and skilled nursing care. The highly trained and professional staff provides progressive rehabilitation, memory care, short-term recuperation, respite services, long-term care and home care programs.
Our healthcare options include:
Assisted living is for those who require assistance with some day-to-day activities such as dressing, bathing and meals.
Memory Care staff specialize in improving the quality of life of those with cognitive impairments such as dementia. Activities, dining and everyday living are geared toward understanding the challenges these Members face.
Skilled care is designed to provide all necessary service to persons who do not require hospitalization but are chronically ill or need 24-hour continuous care.
One of the features that sets The Cedars of Chapel Hill apart from other continuing-care retirement communities is the ability of our Members to remain in their home for as long as possible through the services of our Home Care Agency, on a fee-for-service basis. The services will meet your needs whether you need 15 minutes per day or up to 24 hour around the clock home care services. This includes medication management, meal preparation, bathing, socialization and companionship, and skilled nursing visits.
Each Member of The Cedars is entitled to 90 prepaid days of care plus one meal in the health center. The cost of two meals per day is additional. After 90 days, the rate is approximately 50 percent of comparable independent facilities’ rates.
