The Design and Move-In Coordinator will assist the sales team with all facets of the move-in process.  Primary responsibilities include oversight of the refurbishment of the resale homes. They will represent the Marketing Department in a professional and polished manner that reflects the quality of services and lifestyle of The Cedars of Chapel Hill. A few of the duties include:

  • Perform move-in coordination duties including communications with new Members on all The Cedars move-in procedures and policies.
  • Greet Member and Movers on moving day and ensure that customer service is provided.
  • Assist Marketing Assistant by providing quotes for move managers, flooring contractors, interior designers, painters, etc.
  • Project & Vendor management of resales inventory refurbishments with buyers and sellers. This includes assisting with the purchase and selection of appliance packages, paint, fixtures, flooring, granite and other materials.
  • Conducting final walk through and ensuring that housekeeping has cleaned thoroughly.
  • Meet with members and allow access to home for taking measurements, etc.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Excellent telephone skills. Ability to operate a PC for Microsoft WORD, EXCEL and Salesforce CRM. Must be able to read, comprehend, write and speak English proficiently. Ability to communicate information verbally and in writing. Ability to work with Members and their family members, vendors, and other staff. Must have own transportation. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE College Degree Preferred. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of appropriate skills for communicating with individuals of all ages, primarily the older population.

Needed Full Time and PRN

We are currently recruiting for Certified Nursing Assistants to join our DuBose Health Center team. The Nurses Assistant assists the licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living. Provide nursing functions as directed by the Charge Nurse, Assistant Director of Nursing, and Director of Nursing. All shifts available.

We are currently seeking Full Time  Charge Nurses.

Shift: 7pm-7am

Our Charge Nurse needs to be a Registered Nurse  in good standing and currently licensed by the State of NC who are responsible for the overall nursing care/service on their shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentations and emergency calls, as indicated.

We are currently seeking part time, full time, and as needed Back Waits to join our Fine Dining team.

The Clubhouse Back Wait Staff is responsible for serving meals to Members in the casual, formal, bar, bistro and private dining rooms. Deliver meal to member’s homes. Assist in cleaning and resetting tables, pouring water and serving bread, provide support in the kitchen (stocking, running food, etc…), and breaking down trays at dish station. Previous experience in restaurant or retirement community food service preferred.


We are currently seeking part time, full time, and as needed Wait Staff employees.

The Clubhouse Wait Staff is responsible for serving meals to Members in the casual, formal, bar, and private dining rooms. Provides food and beverage items as required. Serves meals in the dining rooms in compliance with Member preferences and orders. Monitors reception of meals and offers substitute food items for those not deemed satisfactory by members. Stocks items in kitchen, dining rooms, wait stations, kitchen wait station, and break room as necessary. Demonstrates the skills and techniques of fine dining service. Runs food independently and other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Housekeeping Specialist

  • Clean, wash and sanitize dishes, silverware and utensils used to serve residents and others
  • Assist in maintaining the general cleanliness of the dish washing area; clean work area and equipment as assigned.

Maintenance Specialist

We are currently recruiting for a full time Maintenance Specialist. The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the physical plant. Successful candidates will be expected to work under supervisor direction, conduct preventative maintenance repairs, complete routine servicing and seasonal repairs, as well as changing building equipment, and work on plumbing repairs.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and a minimum of one year of maintenance experience. High school education or GED is also required. Electrical work experience preferred.

The Staffing Assistant and Supply Clerk is responsible for staff scheduling, medical supplies, and bed measurements for the DuBose Health Center. This position finds staff replacements if there is a need in the schedule and tracks inventory and ensures supplies are readily available and meeting regulations. This position is 24 hours per week.



  1. High School Graduate or GED required.  Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.  At least 1 year of staffing experience in healthcare environment preferred.  Prior experience with the senior population a plus. CNA license preferred.
  2. The ability to work well under stress, to be able to adapt to change, and to be flexible are essential.  Must have excellent telephone skills and organizational ability.
  3. Requires a cooperative and courteous attitude despite simultaneous demands.
