The continuing care concept at The Cedars of Chapel Hill offers Members living in personal residences a variety of activities, services and health care, if necessary, with a significant emphasis on maintaining independence and an active lifestyle.
The DuBose Health Center on The Cedars’ campus is Medicare-certified and has 36 beds offering assisted living and skilled nursing care. The Health Center is committed to providing the best care available, in a safe, reassuring environment that protects residents’ health, dignity and self respect. The highly trained and professional staff offers progressive rehabilitation and long-term care programs. In addition, short-term recuperation, respite services and home care on a fee-for-service basis also are offered.
Each Member of The Cedars is entitled to 90 prepaid days of care plus one meal in the health center. The cost of two meals per day is additional. After 90 days, the rate is approximately 50 percent of comparable independent facilities’ rates.
Within defined limits, the monthly fees and health care facility charges can be adjusted annually to account for cost increases. The cost to a Cedars Member for health care is expected to remain significantly lower than the rates charged by comparable health facilities in the area.
At The Cedars, Members have the ability to choose among a full array of health-care options, providing you and your family the peace of mind that comes from planning for the unknown.
