The Davie is located on the southern-most part of The Cedars campus and has the last new homes available for purchase in our retirement community. The Davie has under building parking and beautiful floor plans. All of the homes in Davie Building have 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. There are hardwood floors in the living areas and ceramic tile floors in the bathrooms. The Davie offers luxurious homes with balconies and lovely exposures.

We currently have three floor plans available:

• The Turnberry is 1,265 square feet. It has a open floor plan and a large balcony.
• The Essex is 1,382 square feet and is located on a corner with two sides of exposure. The balcony overlooks lovely trees and gives the feeling of privacy.
• The Berkshire is 1,290 square feet and is located on the third floor. It also has two exposures and overlooks a pond.

What a wonderful home I have found in The Davie. The size is perfect.

My home is one of the smaller ones, but it’s perfect for me. I don’t feel like I’m in a retirement community – I am close to all of its amenities. The Cedars community has been unbelievably welcoming.

The Davie is homey with friendly neighbors and a wonderful location. The setting of The Davie is particularly nice. It is quiet – one side is next to a lovely pond, the other side is a wooded area. It’s near a city street, so you still feel close to community life. Transportation is easily made available.

When you live in The Davie, you are two blocks away from a grocery store and pharmacy. The DuBose Health Center is about three blocks away, which makes it very convenient. The care in DuBose is excellent.

The floor plans of the homes in The Davie are very functional. The Master Bathroom is large and comfortable, a luxury I never had during my 60 years of married life. The closet space in my home is terrific.

And I haven’t mentioned the food. The dining room has a 102 rating, and you can’t get any higher than that. The food is excellent and there are lots of choices. There is also an excellently trained staff.

I arrived at The Cedars with many worries. I didn’t need to have them!

When I first saw The Cedars, The Davie was a green, grassy mound. Gradually it grew into what it is today – a modern, comfortable building of 18 condominiums and we were able to move in.

I’m delighted to say it was everything I had hoped for.

I am from England (my daughter lives here) so shipping all my furniture and belongings was a somewhat complicated task. However, everything

Resident of The Davie fits in perfectly in my nice light and bright apartment.

Everything is beautiful from the wood floors to the fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms.

I can live an independent life, selecting air conditioning and temperature control with the advantage of housekeeping services every week.

I selected a home overlooking the pond where I have window boxes, flowers, and hummingbirds on my balcony. It’s such a joy to be able to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. I am completely satisfied and happy with my new home “across the ocean.”
